Hello SEI Friends! I am so excited to be hosting the blog for the next week! First up, a little bit about me before we dive into projects and other fun!
I currently live in the Washington, DC suburbs with my college sweetheart turned husband and our 2 dramatic, yet hilarious daughters. We are a military family, so no place is called home for more than 1-3 years, but we love the adventure and the travel that comes with all the moving. I’ve lived in Ohio, California, North Carolina (2 x), Virginia (2 x) and Kentucky in a span of just 15 years, and we aren’t done yet.
I’ve been scrapbooking since 1998 when I went to my first scrapbook party as a newlywed. I didn’t get “serious” until after the birth of my 2nd daughter when I decided I wanted more than pictures on a page with pretty paper, but wanted to tell our family stories. My style is fairly simple and clean, with bits of layering, clustering and journaling too.
Besides scrapbooking, I love playing with my camera, watching brainless reality tv on Bravo and I’m an avid runner, completing my very first (and probably last) marathon this past fall. I also work part time as a school social worker in a large suburban high school. I absolutely love my job, even on the difficult days!
Can’t wait to share more with you! I’m so honored to be over here with you next week!
