Inspired by Trends: Aiden's 1st Bath

Hello! When you scrap, do you ever stop to look at the trends? Like any other design industry, trends evolve, grow and fade. There are trends that appear so briefly and those that stick around for years. I enjoy looking around at some of the latest trends for scrapbooking and cardmaking.

I thought it would be good to put a couple of the trends I like to use. Confetti is one current trend. It doesn't always have to be round, but involves a sprinkling of paper bits across the page. There is also the trend of piecework, leaving you with a quilt-like look. I chose the Vanilla Sunshine collection to create this next layout. I love the fabric swatches, and there were the inspiration for my page. I didn't want to trim them, so chose to line them up. I also added a sprinkling of stars for a bit of detail.

I hope that I have inspired you to take a look around at the current trends. Pick out a trend you enjoy and put it to use on a project. Sometimes, all I need is a jumping off point and the rest evolves from there.
