Maria's Picnic Wedding Gift + GIVEAWAY!

Hi friends! I'm Maria, one of the "oldies" in the Art Studio. I've been here for 6 years and still think I have the coolest job ever. I love our papers and embellishments and use them all the time for projects like this.

This is a gift for my mother and father-in-law. They love to go on walks together and spend time outside. Since their anniversary is coming up, I thought a "picnic for 2" would be perfect for them.

Here's a little peek inside. I love gifts like these, especially for weddings! It's full of useful things. Some things they can keep, like the basket, plates, table cloth, and garland. Other things they can use up, like the food. Yum! I figure even if they don't go for a picnic they will still have some useful things.

The thing that really makes this gift special is all the little handmade touches. I got the idea for the napkin/utensil holders from the Club SEI July Kit. The little garland was made with strips from the perforated sheet.

I used the Mayberry collection to tie everything together. It worked perfectly! Everything just kind of came together. There are tons of fun sayings that would great for any kit like this. Other ideas that would work great with the Mayberry collection for a wedding or anniversary...

• Sundae Kit: Include some ice-cream glasses and lot's of tasty toppings
• BBQ Kit: Include a table cloth, fun summer dishes, and condiments
• Date Night Kit: Include gift cards for shakes, movies, and bowling

Another fun detail that is super easy with the Mayberry collection is these little games. I cut up the chrome plated paper and included pencils for them to circle the states in the cross-word. I also cut up the iconic paper so they could use the die-cut decoder arrows to find all the silly i-spy things.

If you would like to make your own, here's what I included in mine to get you started: A basket, table cloth, plates, suddenly salad, chips, can of chicken, mayo, soda pop, chocolates, eating utensils, a menu, games and pencils!
