Challenge #2 - Layout Sketch

Did anyone feel like the Juliette layout from Tuesday looked familiar? That is because we used this WinterSong layout from our Think Outside the Box post to make the sketch. If you are happy with the way a layout turned out, go ahead and reuse the idea with new papers and it will feel new again!

Our challenge for the month of February is to make a layout using this sketch. If you need some ideas, check Tuesday's post or this WinterSong layout.

To participate in the challenge:
1. Create 1 or more scrapbook layouts, using this sketch as a guide.
2. Use at least 2 SEI products.
3. Comment on this post stating what SEI products you used.
4. Make a link in your comment to an image of your project or e-mail it to us.
5. Do it by March 1st.

Thanks to those of you that participated in January's challenge. Check out the Attainable Treasure's blog for more info on this project.

Also, take a peek at the Glue Dots & Glitter blog for more info on these magnets and more of Alaina's amazing creations!

what do you win or what is the point of this layout sketch?

Great question, Katie Jo. The biggest reason we started doing challenges is because our readers suggested it last October when we asked for input.

Challenges are a good way to motivate, share ideas, set goals, showcase projects, and network with other paper-crafters. Usually there isn't anything to "win". We just love seeing what people create and getting to know our readers a little. We want our challenges to inspire you and hope everyone will enjoy this new tradition.

I used SEI's "Red Linen Box set" to create a smaller version of the challenge layout on an 8 X 8 page.

Everything is from the linen box, except the stamped musical notes (Stamp Camp). My approach is to get as many pages done without too much fuss. I love the box set because it offers a wide assortment of coordinated papers and embellishments. The box set allows me to quickly put together gift albums.

I used Kitty's Place paper, epoxy stickers and velvet paper. Thanks for the challenge!

Great sketch which kick started me to make my layout I’m too sexy for my hat

The pps are from the Moravia collection, the white doilie from Juliette, and the rest from my stash.

Thank you for letting me play :-)

Grrr, I'm obviously doing something wrong, as the link in my previous comment doesn't work. Sorry!
