Snow Banner + Giveaway



By this time you are probably thinking that I was completely going to skip over Mod Podge – but no way! Mod Podge got me where I am today, so for my final post I bring you a banner made with Mod Podge. This banner is in honor of winter and to celebrate my week here at SEI.

This banner is simple to make, really. I simply painted wood banner pieces (from a local craft store) with red acrylic paint and then dry brushed them with silver. I cut out letters in my own funky handwriting and Mod Podged them to the banner pieces – 20 minutes later I coated the whole banner with Podge. After all was dry, I used this tutorial from Mod Podge Rocks! reader Theresa to make flower embellishments with brads. Glue those on with craft glue, string onto a ribbon and you are good to go!

    I especially like the "Snow" banner. I'm kinda traditional with my colours so this one really caught my eye. Plus it would take very little time but it looks fabulous. I'm not an expert with Mod Podge yet so only doing this much would totally be up my alley.

    I'm a reader of both Mod Podge Rocks and SEI Lifestyle. My favorite post? It would have to be the banner. It just speaks to me, and it's something I can do with the kids...which, with Christmas break beginning today, I will need some projects!

    Hmm..I really like the Modge Podge "Snow" banner. I guess I'm in the mood for snow since my area is expecting to receive a good amount of snow when usually we get no snow at all :)

    I enjoyed the snow banner post. It is really nice and since it is made out of wood and the paper is mod podged, it would store well in order to use for many future Christmases.
