Giveaway...

We sent Heather some product from our En Route collection to show us how she would display her beautiful photographs. Her idea was to make a quiet book for her baby. So in honor of having Heather as our guest blogger this week, we are giving away all the materials to make the same quiet book. Here is a little explanation and photos from the finished product from Heather. Aren't the photos beautiful? Not to mention the scrap booking (it was Heather's first time, amazing huh?).

The idea behind this project was to make a quiet picture book for Cole (the baby) for Church. He could look at his family and extended family and see where they are around the US! I really LOVED the En Route line and there were endless possibilities with it!

(I give props to scrap bookers and their creativity! It was SO fun creating this, but it was a bit difficult too just with so much fun stuff to work with. How could I choose which paper to use where, what embellishments to use...etc. I was a little intimidated knowing that "real" scrap bookers would be looking at this!) Thanks again for letting me be a guest blogger this week! I had so much fun coming up with posts and ideas. Oh, and I really love everything you sent me from the En Route collection! I'm seriously OBSESSED with those clear stamps! I feel like a kid in a candy store!

The giveaway includes the following products:
En Route Assortment Pack
En Route Chiplets
En Route Stamps
En Route Rub-On Words
En Route Ribbon
4" x 6" Black Preservation Album
Blueberry Alphabet Stickers
Clear Stamp Block
To enter the giveaway, let us know which one of Heather's post was your favorite and why by Monday the 18th at midnight! Simple as that and good luck. Thanks again Heather for the lovely week full of ideas and inspiration!

My favorite post was the baby tie tutorial. I have a little boy just a month younger than hers and he would look cute in a little tie making him look like a full grown man!

I loved the baby tie tutorial and the housewarming gifts, oh AND the quiet book too. I just had too many. I have a baby that is a month old so all of her baby crafts are very appealing to me. They are so cute and easy. I have tried a couple of Heather's ideas and loved them. I gave the planted banana bread out as a hostess gift for my baby shower and it was a huge hit. It looked so cute.

The Baby Tie Tutorial was definitely my favorite. I tried sewing a tie for my little guy and it ended up being a disaster. I was looking for a craft way to get a tie on this guy that would stay! Thanks Heather for that inspirational advice! You are amazing. SEI you should definitely have Heather on as a guest blogger again! I think her posts were just swell!

I LOVED the Vintage Pyrex blog. It reminded me that sometimes you don't have to spend a fortune to find something chic, quaint and beautiful. You just have to stop at garage sales, thrift stores and explore your grandmothers cabinets. I myself have started keeping an eye out for vintage pyrex. I'd love to find one with little ducks on it!

I liked the delicious looking homemade bread (and the other yummy stuff...lol) ..I almost can smell it...and it somehow reminds me to a trip to Ireland a few years ago....

I love this! I certainly could use the papers to make one. We are the only members of my family to live in AZ - and I am always looking for something to let my little kids remember their grandparents, cousins, etc. BTW - the tie tutorial was the best! Loved it. My little guy will definately be getting one - and I will be giving others as gifts!

Truthfully picking the items to start a scrapbook with is my biggest problem. A kit sounds like the perfect idea! Way to go Heather - it turned out great!

my favourit post was 'for the Love of Light' - because she so right! And because if you use so many nice and colourfull products for your scrappages - why should the photo be the worst thing in the page?

Patsy said...

Great idea! I love the quiet book idea about family members. The papers are wonderful - can't wait for mine to arrive!

Karen C. said...

I enjoyed the For the Love of Light post. It gave great tips on taking pics with natural light. I have been having a hard time taking pics without harsh shadows. Thanks, Heather, for all of your great ideas!

Marissa said...

the quiet book is my favourite. It was a hard choice to make as all the posts are good ones.

I really like the quiet book because it reminds me of a quiet book my Bepa made for me out of a blanket for church. She embroidered different animals on the cloth, and put it together like a book.

I don't have it anymore as I wore it out. (I used to sleep with it) It was my favourite thing ever.

Heather's quiet book has brought tears to my eyes, and a beautiful memory.

Thanks

I really enjoyed the gifts, I am always trying to figure out new and cute ways to package baked goods for friends and family! Tie might go to the quiet book, because for the last 8 years I've been meaning to make one for each of my daughters, who have family spread out all over the globe! That would be an extremely fun project, because sei's papers would be the perfect backdrop! Thanks!
