Great Kids' Craft Project Gift - Foam Puzzles

We designed these adorable foam puzzles a while ago. So, I was surprised to realize they match my kids' rooms perfectly!

My son loves outer space right now. He knows a lot of random facts about our solar system. So, we recently redecorated his room in a space theme.

He was excited to put together this foam puzzle. I sat by him and helped remove the stickers. He did a great job!

My daughter had no problem doing it by herself. The only tricky piece was the darker pink flower had to be turned a certain way to fit the designated spot.

This design includes her favorite colors. It will look adorable in her room.

Pretty Recipe Book Kit Gift

There is something special about handwritten recipes. We cherish recipes in mom and grandma's handwriting. So, we love using our recipe book kits to make thoughtful gifts for weddings, college students and Christmas.

This is the pretty cover. It also includes page protectors, a title page, 19 double-sided recipe cards and a sticker sheet.

You can title your recipe book whatever you'd like or use this first page to write a special note to the recipient. You can see we also used some of the stickers to label the different sections

Here's one of the recipe cards. Aren't they pretty? HINT: These books are on sale this week 2 for the price of one!

Easy, Inexpensive, DIY Father's Day Gift

Father's Day is coming up soon. It can be a lot of fun picking out a gift for the special men in your life. But, sometimes it's hard to find something for the guy who has it all. How about giving the gift of gratitude?

We offer these little tag books on our website that include this cute tag-shaped cover, pre-cut papers, to go inside and string.

There are so many great uses for these books!

We decided to use one for a father's gratitude book. Inside the book, we wrote little notes.

If you like lettering, you can look for inspiration online to help you write your notes.

However, it's really not necessary to make it fancy. The thought and meaning you put behind it is the real gift.

Wishing you a Happy Father's Day!

Easy Spring Birthday Treat

Spring and Easter colors don't have to be washed-out pastels. Throw in some fun, bright colors too... Like orange! The orange ribbon is what really makes this pop. Love it!

We found this cute little tube of jelly beans at the store and wanted to jazz it up with some embellishments. So, we wrapped the top in scrapbook paper and attached a tag decorated with floral stickers. Then, we added that sweet ribbon.

Do you ever switch up packaging for gift-giving? It's one of our favorite things. We especially love pretty candies in an equally pretty package.

Happy birthday to our awesome spring birthday friends out there!

Spring Gift Tag

We found this adorable cupcake at the grocery store and knew it would brighten our friend's day. So, we made a little tag to go along with it, using some of our favorite stickers from the June 2017 scrapbooking kit.

It's nothing to fancy. But, it's so nice to know someone was thinking of you. Do you ever grab an extra treat for a friend when you go shopping?

DIY Velvet-Lined Gift Box

We wanted to make a gift box for these pretty pressed-flower necklaces and found the perfect way to make it more plush and fancy... velvet paper! We are majorly crushing on the velvet trend right now.

To start, we made a simple box out of papers from our Penrose paperpack. Then, we cut velvet paper to line the inside.

For the flower on top, we cut a bunch of little flowers out of velvet paper, using our Silhouette. Then, we added some velvet leaves and adhesive pearls.

The necklaces are from one of our favorite Etsy shops, Wylde Wanderer. What do you think of this velvet-lined box? Are you loving the velvet trend too? We hope so because we have some more velvet projects coming soon!

DIY Shibori Dye Projects

It's December! Are you an early shopper that's already finished or are you just starting? Our favorite gifts are those special, thoughtful gifts. We love handmade gifts!

Have you notice the shibori trend that's hot right now? This summer we made a bunch of shibori projects that would make perfect gifts for any time of year.

It's was so fun to try different ways of wrapping, dipping and mixing colors. Experimenting with tie dye is a blast!

We found that you can get nice, deep colors by mixing a bit of black into our dye. For these projects we did about 2 parts blueberry to 1 part charcoal or purchase our indigo dye.

This plain white table cloth turned out really cool. But, these easy t-shirts might be our favorite.

Simply accordion-fold your shirt and dip the folded edges into the dye. Experiment with submerging more or less of the edge to get more white space. Dip the front and back edges or just one side. Go on give it a try!

We hope you enjoy these cool Shibori dye projects. Check back for more DIY gift ideas.

Earlier this month, we made these adorable gift bags for fall and thought the idea would be perfect for winter or Christmas as well.

We just used a simple brown paper bag, tied it up with string and leaf shapes cut out of lush velvet paper. For winter, try cutting out berries or snowflakes using your cutting machine or die-cut. For christmas, how about some holly shapes instead?

Now, what to put in that adorable gift bag? Don't worry! We have lot's of ideas coming soon!

Cute Halloween Treat

We were excited when we stopped at the dollar store and saw Cow Tales. The packaging is perfect for Halloween and we love caramels. So, we just had to grab a few boxes for some extra special trick-or-treaters.

We had lot's of ideas of ways to decorate them. So, we will be sharing those on the blog. First, we made this one Halloween themed using our kraft classics paper pad. There are 48 pages that work great together.

After wrapping it in kraft paper, we added some scraps of ribbon, stickers, and tags. It's a simple, fun way to give a little treat for Halloween.

DIY Doggie Treat Bags

Do you have a friend that LOVES his/her pets just like a child? Why not give your friend a little gift?

We had these dog iron-ons in our stash. You can't find them online anymore. But, we have iron-on sheets you can cut any shape out of. These would work great for a simple bone, paw or dog shape.

All you need to create this project is a cookie bag, iron-ons and an iron. You could also add a simple ribbon and fill it with any kind of pet treat.

If you want to give your friend a gift for him/her, you could also use these bags for cookie bags. We recommend a glassine bag inside for a liner to keep oils from leaking onto the kraft bag.
