Today we're sharing the last project from our 2014 design team. Isn't this a great masculine layout created by Elizabeth? We love how she use elements from the October scrapbooking kit, to make a layout about her husband.

We love how she grouped the leaves, paperclips, and little pieces of twine for details. This kit has so many fun textures with the glitter elements, jute ribbon, textured paper, and foil. Didn't Elizabeth do a great job of layering these elements?
Elizabeth and Sarah each have one more layout to share this month. Then it will be time to say good-bye to our 2014 design team. Haven't they done a wonderful job?
First up is this lovely layout of her daughter. The layers, textures, and dimension she put into this layout are perfect for autumn. What's your favorite part?
I know this kit came in a lovely album with tons of lovely "album" type things, but one of my goals is to show you that you don't always have to create what is sent to you.
This time around I created a mini album inspired by the kit album itself, an altered item, and lastly I am going to show you the layout I created using the kit contents!
I love how the page was already pre-cut for me and I just added the elements from the kit to finish it off!
Sometimes the most cutest altered item doesn't have to be the most difficult to make! Point in case, I needed another container to hold my writing utensils and other odds and ends that needed a space. One day while cooking some chili, I realized I could alter the cans!!! So I took a can of kidney beans, rinsed it out, cleaned and dried it and made a simple yet cute container!
This didn't take very long to make, but I am happy with the results. I used the kit contents and just cut the paper to the length and size I wanted to use to cover the can. Since I wanted to keep part of the silver of the can showing, I cut my papers accordingly to that size. I taped that paper to the can. After I taped the paper, I took the elements from the kit and added them. The last thing I added was the ribbon to tie the look together! I love how it looks on my shelf and it was super easy to make too!
Taking from the Club SEI kit contents and the album it's I created this a mini album to celebrate our year anniversary!!! It was fun creating this album. I put photos of our wedding as well as our weekend away to combine a wedding/anniversary album, I love how it turned out!
What spoke to me about this layout was the papers I just started laying all the papers out on to the base background and a layout was instantly born! It was simple. It was easy. It was a 15 minute layout, I kid you not!
I like the gold letters a lot, so I stuck them on to the heart.
Let's not forget about the cool round letters too! I wanted to add that pop that I always seem to want to add and used the treasures stickers as my title. I also used my own handwriting (gasps!)
The inspiration for the layout of us and our shopping day came from that tag from the kit. Yep, it was as simple as that!
There are two things that I wanted to accomplish for this layout. The first was I wanted to type on the paper itself, and the other was I wanted to use that globe with the travel papers from the kit.
In order to print on to the paper, I had to make my layout an 8.5x11 size. Its not hard to print on to the paper after you cut it. I just put it in to my printer, went in to Word and printed. I did print in the landscape size to ensure it went across my paper like I desired. I used Roman font.
After I printed that, I set about putting the yellow stripe paper down on to the paper. I liked the stripes a lot, but wanted to make a more textured look so I cut them so that they would go on the layout differently. I like the effect it gave!
Once all the founding papers were laid, I went about and added the embellishments. I wanted to use the gold accents here and added them to my title.
It went really well with the globe and I added the Thickers as well for dimension.
I then sprayed mist on the page and let that dry. Once that was dry I added the sticker from the kit and backed it with pop dots.
The contrast between the elements, papers, and photo really make this layout stand out to me and make a powerful punch too!
I created this project for a co-worker. I wanted to cheer her up and let her know that her friendship is sunshine in my life!
I bought a plastic clear pillow box from my local scrapbooking store.
Sometimes the nicest things don't need to be hard and I wanted to create an easy gift for her that she could use again. However, at first I wasn't too sure what to do with it, but I knew I wanted to fill it with bright colored candy to brighten her day, so that is how I decided to make this for my friend!
I took the kit contents and measured around the box and then just taped the background papers to the box. After that was adhered, I added all the embellishment and element layers to the box. I wanted the "sunshine" tag to stick out so I added pop dots to the back of that. To ensure it doesn't come off, I hot glued it down to the papers.
I then filled the box with candy that I bought from Jo-Ann's. Next up, I created a card to go with it.
I kept the card pretty simple and used the kit contents to say everything I wanted it to say.
I created the heart using a punch and the kit papers (my favorite piece of paper) and I used pop dots to make it stick out to let her know I loved her friendship!
To add the extra touch, I added the key and tied it with twine to the ribbon.
I really loved how it turned out and she's going to love it too!
