I thought this Azalea paper by SEI would look great on this metal die cut card and I was right! I'm so glad I used it for this!
After assembling the card, I embellished it using these Azalea page elements from SEI. I took apart the one that looked like a stamp and just used the center of it. Don't be afraid to alter your embellishments! See those three flowers? I cut the one on the right off and layered it so it would fit the card. No problem!
This part is a little more complicated. I cut a strip of paper to 3/4" and then cut it in a curve to fit around the circle. I actually used a circle die to help me draw a curve. I ran those through the little 1" Xyron Sticker Maker.
Then I had this! TA DA!!
Isn't it cool that this is one side of the card and the other side is completely different? I love that!

How fun it is to create something useful and pretty all from paper, glue and a few embellishments!
Today I’m using some beautiful paper by SEI from the Azalea collection to create this Recipe Box (design id #27660) from the Silhouette Store. The box assembles quite easily. You just need to bend the paper in a few places and add a bit of glue. Done! Now you can embellish it!
I added some pom pom ribbon to the edges of the box using my hot glue gun. SEI has lots of great embellishments to choose from. Take a look at the other things you could add!
This paper is pretty inside and out!
This box would be a nice way to give a small food gift along with the recipe!

It's so simple to create this! Take the muslin from the Hoop Art kit and pull it taut inside the hoops. Layer the doilies in a pattern that you like.
Grab your Tumble Dye and start spraying! (Make sure to use a craft mat underneath your project to protect your area from overspray.) Once you're finished spraying, carefully remove the doilies.
If you're like me and spray heavily then you can use a paper towel to blot the excess spray. Careful up and down blotting will help your project dry faster, just try not to smear it.
Next, use wooden, cloth or chipboard letters and spray them with SEI's Tumble Dye. I used a paintbrush to dab up some of the excess spray and used it to paint the edges and corners that the spray missed. When the letters have dried, attach them to your project with hot glue, glue dots or fabric glue.
When it comes to crafting, every mistake is simply a new kind of art. Don't worry about making it perfect, make it YOURS! Just BE U!

Iwas looking at the front the SEI banner kit and saw this great idea for turning a simple paper lunch bag into a gift bag. It was not only genius and frugal, it was something I needed. I have had a bag of coffee that I've been meaning to give as a gift and I couldn't decide how I wanted to wrap it. This was perfect!
I simply used a white lunch bag from my kitchen and cut a piece of Catalina Sweet Calico paper to 4-1/4" x 9" and glued it to the front.
Next, fold over the top of the bag and tape it over the paper.
I punched a hole at the top of each side of the bag. I threaded twine through the bag and attached a piece of banner cardboard from the banner kit.
I heat embossed a Joy's Life coffee stamp and saying onto a tag from Field Notes Sundries and colored the stamps in with glossy pens.
I finished the project by adding two small flowers from Pembroke Sundries just over the holes I punched. I clipped the tag to the twine using a tiny clothespin from Pembroke Sundries.
Consider using paper scraps and other embellishments to make your bag uniquely yours.
I like it when things are lovely and simple. This box is a perfect example of what I mean. There’s a lot of texture but it all works together so well. It is rustic-romantic as well as classy and simple.
Just to give you an idea of what these pillow boxes can hold, I placed this SEI Silver Washi Tape along with this Washi 2 pack inside the box.
They fit AND it still closed! This would make a great gift for your crafty friends. It doesn’t have to hold Washi tape though. You could add any kind of small gift.
Once you have all your treats and goodies inside, simply glue or tape the ribbon around the box. Pop dot up the Kraft chip of your choice and you’re ready for gift giving! You can see all of my SEI projects here (on my blog) or here (on Pinterest).
I love to do “makeovers” on things like I did in this recent SEI project. I consider this a makeover even though the box isn’t really made to stay plain. I just think, “Hey, it could stay plain. I mean, I’ve certainly wrapped plenty of boring boxes in wrapping paper before.”
Well, since we’re not counting down to the last second of the Christmas holidays, now is the perfect time to make some customized gift boxes for special friends and family. They’re so thoughtful and perfect for any special occasion!
I’m using a double side perforated sheet from SEI’s lovely Athenaeum 12×12 Creative Pack. After separating the pieces, I trimmed them to fit the box.
I started painting the box with that bright yellow thinking it would look great but it looked like Big Bird melted on it. To counteract melted Big Bird, I added a metallic gold color. Then I felt like a genius…all because it accidentally turned out well. LOL!
Working on one side at a time, I covered each side of the box with Mod Podge and placed the SEI paper pieces on the box. Next, I covered each piece with Mod Podge to seal them in place. After the Mod Podge dries, the box is complete!

When you need a simple gift mason jars are perfect. You can add just about anything to them and they look thoughtful and well planned. Today I'm using Hershey's Nuggets as the filler. I love the way the gold looks in the jar, don't you?
To make an insert, trace the lid on the back of the paper and cut it out.
I'm using the "Take It Easy" sign from SEI's Pembroke Kraft Chips and tying it onto the jar with twine from Pembroke Twill & Twine pack. I wrapped the twill ribbon around the edge of the lid. Ahhh...so lovely!
Quick, simple and all ready for gift giving. YAY! Do you like to use Mason jars? How do you find yourself using them?
About a million years ago I made this little sign. It wasn’t much of a sign. I just printed something out and stuck it to the painted wood. So, today I’m really excited to be able to turn it into a MUCH prettier sign. First, I used traced the outline of the wood onto that pretty piece of Catalina Deco Geo foil accent paper by SEI.
I tried to peel off all of what had been printed vinyl but it was such a pain in the neck, I gave up. I opted for some Mod Podge and covered it completely with that using a sponge brush.
After the Mod Podge was dry, I sanded off the edges where the paper overlapped. You can use a nail file for this if you don’t have any special filing tools.
Aren’t those pieces cool? I’m using SEI’s Pembroke Kraft Chips. You’ll notice those excellent details due to laser cutting. Nice! Turn them over and they are colored on the other side. Many have completely different designs and sayings on the back. Really cool.
I glued the paper to the pieces and used pop dots to elevate the designs.
YAY! This sign is such an improvement over the last one, I wonder why I waited so long to make it?
