Cut it out!

We had one of our viewers, Dawn, send us a layout that she had created with our Chocolat line. We were all so impressed with the amount of detail that she had put into this creation. She had tediously cut out different elements from papers in the line. The butterflies were from Papillion and the flowers from Cherie. Look at the details:

I started looking through our archive and I was surprised to see how many of our newer layouts used the same technique. I know cutting out elements isn't a brand new idea. But I do think it's a pretty clever technique that can keep your hands happy. Here are some of our examples from our gallery:

En Route
(this line had quite a few, click here for more cut-out ideas)

Thanks again Dawn for sharing your talents with us! You can see more of Dawn's creations here. If you're scissor happy like us, here are some cut-out paper recommendations (to name a few):
En Route-
by sea
by air
breakaway (used in above layout)
highways & byways
daquiri (back used in above layout)
varanasi (used in above layout)
cherie (used in above layout)
papillion (used in above layout)
