Halloween Party Decor & Costume Awards

I have a couple of Halloween party ideas for today. Now that I have young children in the house, they want decorations for every holiday.

One of my go to types of decorations is a simple shape and I stand it up on a rosette. They are quick and easy and you don't have to glue the shape to the base. Two pieces means easier storage for next year.

I used the Salem Heights collection for the pumpkin and rosette. I cut out an orange pumpkin and backed it with dead man's parlor. I made a mirror image of the pumpkin and background and glued all four cuts together. On one side I cut some triangles and a smile out of midnight velvet and the other side "Trick or Treat".

The rosette is made with spooky town bash. A black bow,a stem and a leaf with the clover velvet and a rose made out of Corinne-sunshine finish it off.

What's a Halloween party without a costume contest? The first thing I thought of were prize ribbons when I saw the SPOOKS dimensional elements.

The stickers are already so cute it didn't take much to make a cute ribbon.

I made a small rosette for the base, glued some ribbon streamers, then added a couple layers of circle cuts and the sticker. Glue a pin on the back and you have perfect prizes for your little monsters. The striped paper is from the Cheery Brights stack and the lattice ribbon is punched from Midnight velvet.

Happy crafting,
Jules
