Hey there!! Happy to be designing with SEI's fabulous papers and embellies for another term! SEI has a truly talented staff of designers, incredibly amazing collections and great quality! It's so fun to be inspired by their goodies.
Today's project is perfect for how I feel--thankful to be working with the great company, helping them be successful. So, on that note, today's project is a Thankful for You Friend Note Set using SEI's new Entrada line.
November is a great month to remember all the things in our life that were thankful for! you can be thankful for your family, your health, your family, finances, friends-whatever you have in your life--you can be thankful for it. I think that friends are one of many things I am grateful for. Today's friendship set is great because it comes with a greeting card, three embellished cards where you can write something special to your friend, and a decorated box to put the cards and a gift in! I was inspired to use the Entrada line because I was drawn to the playful use of green and chartreuse throughout the collection, plus the beautiful foils and prints available in the 6" x 6" paper pad.
The box (from the dollar bin at Target) was super easy to embellish. I traced the shape of each side on the back of Pantanal Grassland, trimmed and adhered it to the box. Then I tied some fun orange twine around the box, looping it onto a chipboard frame from the Entrada Frames set on both sides. I then trimmed a square from Albertine Rift, affixed some alpha stickers to it and adhered to the box, with a little overlapping the frame. I then trimmed some fabulous foiled and motif papers from the Entrade 6" x 6" paper pad and tucked them underneath the frame. To finish it off, I affixed a bracket and heart canvas sticker with a pin sticking through it to the box. Now it's all set to hold the cards and a gift!
These were super easy to make. I was inspired by the Natural Habitats die cut accents, which have the nicest, encouraging sentiments. Just trim patterned paper strips as shown, add your fibers and adhere perforated sentiments to the box, making sure to leave room for a sweet note to your friend before tucking them into the box.
Enclosing a card always seems to make a set feel complete. What I like best about the Entrada collection is the variety of motif patterned paper and pretty animal prints! I wanted to use them, and this card shows how to do the effectively! If your going to use a lot of different patterned papers or choose a clean and simple style, so that the design isn't too overwhelming. For this card, I trimmed the patterned paper into squares, rounded the corners and then adhered to the card around a stamped everyday-appropriate sentiment. Super easy execution--very effective design.
Well, I hope this project has inspired you to create your own friendship box set or another fabulous project with the Entrada line.
