I've had this instagram photo of my husband and I on a lunch date for awhile. The light behind us made the photo look almost black and white, so I've been searching for the perfect patterned paper to bring it to life.
The Mia Bella collection includes a gorgeous paper called "gallery walk" that features paint drips and splatters in beautiful colors. As soon as I laid eyes on it, I knew it would make a beautiful background for my little instagram shot.
I loved the large, striped banner piece in the Mia Bella die cuts and used it to accent my photo. I cut a notch into the flat end, then cut the piece in half. It wasn't long enough to span my photo, so by cutting it into two pieces, I was able to "fake" a longer piece. I used the leftover triangles on the edges of my page. I also clustered a coin envelope and spiral paper clip from the Mia Bella sundries behind my photo.
I absolutely adore the flower trim, so I attached just enough to anchor my photo. I also adore the plastic flowers from the sundries pack. Their iridescent color was a perfect match to this patterned paper. For even more texture, I added a sprinkle of Mia Bella brads.
The bottom border is a strip of this same paper, but the design on the reverse side. I love that dark green triangle print!
I am so glad the Mia Bella line came along and inspired me to finally scrapbook this photo. I just love the result!
