Holiday Cards

Hi everyone!

April here! I don't know about you, but I just LOVE anything with kraft in it - it seems to be all the rage right now and I can see why. It's goes with everything and gives you a modern yet vintage-y look. (Is that an oxymoron?)

Anyway! The SEI November Papercrafting kit has totally inspired my holiday color scheme this year. I plan to decorate my home, presents, christmas cards, basically anything I can get a hold of, with the color combo of kraft and red.

Having my kit gave me the perfect chance to start my decorating! Here are a few cards I created using the kit:

I started by taking a couple of the 12x12 sheets that come with the kit and cutting them down to 5.5" x 8.5". Then I folded the 5.5" x 8.5" in half to create cards that were A2 size (which is 4.25" x 5.5"). To be honest, the only reason I chose to do the A2 size cards are because I have extra A2 sized envelopes laying around in my stash! You can make your cards any size you prefer!

Remember my previous post on the December Daily cards I created for my pocket page? I had a bunch of randomly sized papers laying around, so I used them on these cards to layer, layer, and layer! (That's my thing - I like to layer!) The kit comes with a sheet of perforated tags that already have sentiments printed on them, so I tore apart that sheet and used those sentiments on each card! Then I added some embellishments and stickers that came in the kit.

Here are some close-ups!

Don't you just love the kraft paper doilies that are in the kit!?

Hope you feel inspired to make some holiday cards with your kit! Thanks for stopping by!
