I think Valentine's can be a really fun time of year, especially when you make your own cards and gifts. I want to show you the versatility of the some of the products today. It's always easier to design with product away from the intended theme, when you focus on one element -I focused on color. I pulled out red, white, gold and cream elements that worked well together.
As you can see, I chose to use Christmas patterned papers to create my two cards. I thought the foil hounds tooth specialty patterned paper was the perfect way to add a little sparkle to my cards. The ampersand on the first card was cut using my die cut machine and the backside of a scrap piece of paper from one of my 6x6 paper pads.
The twine and gems, as well as the grid patterned paper on both cards are from the Chalet Christmas collection. Of course I had to use a couple of hearts from the Think of Me collection to really emphasize the Valentine's theme.
I hope that I have inspired you to create based on color rather than theme of collection!
Cheers,
Sarah

Thanks for the reminder you can use collections by color and not just theme. Beautiful project!
