I’m both happy that I’ve had this chance but at the same time sad that this is going to be my last post here at the SEI blog. But like what the saying goes…some good things have to end and today I wanna share a layout I made with the Couture paper line, flowers from the Summer brights pack and die cuts from the With all my heart pack.
Do you have a child that wants to be their mommy’s copy cat? Well I am blessed to have one. My daughter is so into getting herself all dolled up. Now mind you, I’m not one to put makeup on regular basis but when it’s Sunday, I try to dress my best for church and I think that’s where she gets the idea of getting all dolled up too. These photos were caught while getting ready for church about a year ago. I’m so happy to have caught these photos of here in her favorite element, mirror in front and lip gloss in hand! What could a girl ask for more?
I had cut out three identical flowers from pattern paper here using my die cut machine then layering it with pink flowers and finishing it up with pearl brads. I also added some die cut shaped from the With all my heart pack that had the pink color scheme.
Remember those lace cardstock that I’ve used in my Mothers and Daughters layout plus the mini book? Well I was able to extend it to this page as well. The lace created a subtle background for my title. I had combined letters cut up from pattern paper with a die cut machine plus letters stickers from the White Elegance line.
So that’s it. I hope I was able to inspire you to try something new this week. Whether it be creating something for a unique mother’s day gift, challenging you to journal about relationships, making cards in one hour or recycling items that might have been thrown away. I always find myself in my most creative when I step out of my comfort zone.
Happy crafting everyone!
Signing off.

WOW....lots of inspiration this week. I loved all of Grace's post but this is probably my fav. My daughter is four and she does the same thing. I just can't seem to capture it on film. She always catches me. LOL
Thanks Grace for a great week!
My favorite post of the week is the one about embellishing frames. I do a lot of this in my side business and it was fun to see how others get the job done. Well done Grace!
this is my favourite post- my daughter does the dame but she copies her Grandma not me- I don't wear make up- Nancy loves to rub cream on her face and then say "is my face nice and smooth!"
This is my favorite from this week! I love the sweet photos and she's made such a cute page to go with them!!!
thanks also for a chance to win!

So many to choose from, but this was prob. my fav post because it made me remember my daughter at that age. She is 14 now, but it seems like yesterday. Thank you for sharing your lovely work. :-)
Absolutely beautiful pages (and little one, too!). This is my favorite post...I have an 8-yr old that loves to get 'all dolled up', too!
I really liked the step by step tutorial of the frame, but my favorite post was the four cards. Thanks for a terrific week!
I just joined the SEI club at the Mega Meet in Novi, Michigan May 5,2011 and found an email in my box leading me here. Glad I followed! This is the first post of Grace's that I have read and therefore my favorite..I love what she wrote about being most creative when she stepped out of her comfort zone. I will have to remember that and put it into action!
Thank you Grace!
It's a tough call, choosing just one, but I love the Friends and Flowers card (the quote slips my mind, but it had those words in it). Very cool! I love the flowers around the quote itself, especially.
I love how Grace used the lace cardstock that perfectly matched the pattern of her daughter's sweater, so that is my favorite!
I love today's post. It is great to catch pictures of your children when they least expect it. I think it shows their true character. Thanks Grace and thanks SEI
all the posts were great this week! I really liked the card set and the mother/daughter layoug.
My favorite was for sure the mom love frame. It was so cute!! Thanks for the inspiration :)
My favorite is the card set - loved the combination of colors and the simple design that is easy to duplicate vertically and horizontally - LOVE IT!!!
I love the use of the lace cardstock. It's always so difficult for me to figure out what to do with the lace.
Well I liked them all, but I really enjoyed the Mother/Daughter LO from Tuesday.
I loved the quote frame, and loved the layouts too! I really need to go play with with your paper, even though it is in almost ALL my projects! What a fun week. Everything was beautiful, fun, and amazing!! Thanks for sharing!

I liked the family album best. Thanks for the fun week and the giveaway.
I loved them all, but the card set post was perfect. I love making cards too, and the idea of being able to get several done at once is fantastic!
Beautiful page. My friends and I get together and crop once a month. We come up with challenges and often it is to use things from our supplies on hand, so multi layers of flowers and things like that are right up our alley!!
Loved the Mothers & Daughters layout. Your style is alot like mine. Happy Scrappin'!
just love the mother & daughter layout. Like your style
Great layouts I would use it for my beautiful granddaughter, Amelia Mae. She is grandma's little angel!
I love your layout you did for us today. I love the white lattice paper mimicing the while lattice sweater on your little girl. However, my favorite project this week was the altered quote frame. Thanks for sharing this week.
I love this post - My daughter is now 20 but I dearly remember her wanting to copy mommy and getting all dolled up , Its even more special to me and makes me so glad that im a scrapper, she fell and obtained a skull fracture and traumatic brain injury and lost quite a bit of her memory, thank god she can look at her scrapbook of her life and read about all the things she has done !~!! Beautiful page I love the white scroll.
It's a toss up between the framed quote and the Mothers and daughters page. I love the soft feminine colors. Beautiful!
Fabulous inspiration Grace! Thanks for sharing with us.
The cards were all really cute!
Mother's and Daughters! Also enjoyed the frame tutorial. nice to have the details!
I like all the projects, but I liked the frame the best./
My favorite was the photo frame - love how she made it all new!
Never having had a daughter to catch in a photo such as this one, has always been the little sadness in my life. So, I do have to choose this layout as the best! It makes me smile and wish I had little girl pictures to work with too! Great job, Grace!
From one Grace to another
Lots of great projects this week! Love this layout, perfect touches on it!
Grace, thank you for visiting! Thank you, too, for all of your inspiration! I love today's project, too!! I love how everything came together for a beautiful layout!
I love the all dolled up that was so precious!
I really loved the cards this week. Fabulous!
I have to say I like the "All Dolled up" layout. I love the use of the lace background that brings out the lacy top she is wearing. I also like the pink flowers that are not too large for the subject and bring out the pink in her top. What a cute subject.
I am partial o the Friends four cards. Not only is the paper out of this world but the planning and development of the four cards is thoughtful

I am inspired by the mothers and daughters layout. It is stunning!
Loving this layout! Great projects and cute photos!
I love Grace's bright friends cards. They are SO lovely!!
I love this layout, save this one to scraplift.
Well done, excellent.
KLOve that we can combine different kits!
Who wouldn't love to get one of those cards? The bright stripes, the mixing of patterns, the gorgeous flowered papers. Just terrific! Thank you!
My favorite project this week was the Friends Card Set. I'm always looking for new card inspiration - and I LOVED the papers used in that project.
Kim G
My favorite was the friends cards because I am always looking for inspiration for cards.
I LOVE all dolled up!
I had several - the frames and Mother/Daughter layout were beautiful and I love the message from kite page. I've scrapped several "bad day" layouts of my son and they're some of the most fun to look back on.
