Be Creative

For my Be creative layout I used a combination of the Field Notes and Vanilla Sunshine collection. I love the combination of mellow and bright patterns in these lines. Especially the olives and yellows that are present throughout each of these lines. Yellow being one of my favorite colors I tend to use it in just about all my layouts. The Field Notes collection has just the right amount of graphic images along with great springtime patterns.

I created a grid-like pattern of a several different papers, including some of the cardstock included in the collections. Sometimes a simpler layout in different sized squares creates a bigger impact. It's my go to layout whenever I'm stuck or just want to use some interesting patterns together. Whenever you have a pattern that you're not particularly sure how or where to use just choose some contrasting patterns and colors. They all work together most of the time and they will make your layout just a little more interesting!

For this page I kept things pretty simple and only used a few embellishments including some of the Field Notes stickers and die cut elements. I attached some of the stickers on one of my squares. To offset the grid a little I used a banner sticker on one side of my layout and another hand cut banner strip along the other side.

I completed the layout with the fun and colorful banner stickers from the Field Notes sticker sheet. My layout was very colorful so I used a great black and white photo of my niece. I love the contrast between bright colors and black and white photos.
