I have been really enjoying the ombre trend of late. Lots of really cool and innovative creations using this effect. I wanted to put this trend to use to decorate a take-put style box for a gift.
I picked out patterned paper that would allow flow from one colour to another, easily. I pulled out my butterfly punches and punched out a small pile of butterflies. I applied tape runner all over the one corner of the box, and placed a variety of butterflies flat on the box. The rest of the butterflies I folded and adhered using glue dots. I added pearls and the cream coloured butterflies last to help accentuate the dimensions of the decorations.
I hope that this idea has inspired you to pull out your punches and to create flow using colour.
Cheers,
Sarah
