Fall is coming fast. I love the colours and the crisp fall air. Thanksgiving is celebrated in October for Canadians. I thought a couple of fall themed thank you cards would be perfect for this month.
I pulled out the Yesteryear collection for these cards. The burlap was a great touch to add texture and visual interest. I used the back side of the printed burlap (a great B-side). The twine from the sundries package made for a nice finishing touch.
To help define the layers of paper, I inked the edges with matching ink. I layered a lighter orange leaf under the strong orange one to help the leaf pop just a little bit extra. Foam dots were tucked under the edges of the top leaf to help keep the shape of the leaf.
I always create at least two cards based on one theme as it helps to build up the stash of cards. I find the second card always comes together more quickly as can I just modify the design.
Thanks for coming by!
