I love to create small delightful gifts of gratitude. I've always agreed with the phrase "It's the thought that counts." Truly the thought does count and with just a drop of creativity you can create something meaningful.
Mini Framed Pincushion:
- Select a small frame with a 2x2 or 2x3 inch opening. Remove the glass from the frame, if it's included.
- Using hot glue, attach a fabric swatch from the Vanilla Sunshine Collection to the inside of the frame.
- Cut a 2x5 inch strip of quilters batting and fold over to create a 2x2.5 inch rectangle. Place it behind the fabric.
- Cut a piece of cereal board or chipboard to fit snugly to the back of the frame. Hot glue this piece to secure the batting.
- Dress up the frame with lace trim from the Mia Bella Collection and indigo bakers twine.
Rosette Hat Pin:
- Cut out one rosette from the Mia Bella trim. Slip on to the hat pin.
- Tie a ribbon at the base of the rosette to help secure it in place.
S.E.I.'s Mia Bella collection takes center stage in a Parisian inspired Spring party!
Let's create an altered egg carton to hold the party treats!
Altered Parisian Egg Carton:
1. Remove labels and slice an egg carton in half.
2. Trace the shape of egg carton lid onto the Sienna Sunset and Organic Green papers. Cut on traced line and tear edges to meet the cut edge of the egg carton. Adhere inside carton lid.
3. Die cut 3 large and 3 medium blooms from sheet music and damask fabric and papers. Distress paper blooms by spritzing with water and crumbling. Dry with a hot embossing gun.
4. Ink edges with the coral chalk ink. Use hot glue to adhere inside egg carton lid. Place a gold glitter dot in the center of the top bloom.
5. Slice a dollie in half and adhere to post card paper. Add a gold alphabet sticker and write a message for guests. Adhere to front of egg carton.
Once you start create these party treat bags, you won't want to stop!
Parisian Party Treat Bags:
1. Slice dollies in half and glue to the top of glassine bag.
2. Create small distressed blooms as described above using Charcoal Chalk Ink. Add an iridescent flower from the Sundries to the center of the distressed blooms. Peirce the center of the stacked blooms and hold together with a brad.
3. Glue pennants from the Mia Bella die cuts to each bag and add a bloom on top.
4. Fill bags with your favorite party treats such as; popcorn, chocolate covered pretzels, or candy.

I love the mix of textures in this collection. Isn't this bloom gorgeous?
Fill your travel book box with post cards of all sizes!
1. Start with the Mia Bella Post Card Sheet. Fold and tearing out each postcard.
2. Punch at 2.5 inch circle from the organic chevron paper. Adhere to a post card.
3. Layer pennants from the die cut accents, stickers, and gold glitter dots.
4. Add ink smudges with the coral chalk ink and adhere trims to the borders of post cards.
I am thrilled to be here at S.E.I. Lifestyle! I have been creating with products from S.E.I. for years.
I am a project person and thrive with a long list of projects to make! Let me introduce you to my corner of the web with a look at some of my favorite projects.
Why I Blog Life-n-Reflection is a challenge each day to look at our lives in reflection. Focusing on the simple things of life allows us to savor small pleasures: a kind face, a soft ray of light, a knowing glance, the budding of a tree, the song of a cheerful bird, and a loving embrace. Through each moment savored we can find gifts of inspiration and serenity. Blogging is an open window for sharing layers of moments captured in photography and inspired projects to bring each seasons gifts into our home.
My Creative Process
The create process is as important to me as the finished product. Burlap, aged postcards, butterflies, floral fabrics, pages torn from romance novels, vintage lace, ink, and die cuts, and are a few of my favorite things to create with. Find more projects in the Life-n-Reflection Project Gallery.
