Spring Craft Supplies

March is here! In northern Utah, that means spring is on the way. Yay! Here are two of our favorite supplies for spring crafting.

First up, the over the rainbow variety pack has those bright, juicy colors we're craving this time of year. This kit is perfect for making cards or scrapbooking. One of our favorite items in this kit is those pretty mint doilies.

Secondly, our tie dye kits. Summer is a big time for creating tie dye projects. Now is the time to get some ordered, while there is plenty of supply. We even have some new pastel kits on our site. We can't wait for some spring crafting, how about you?

Easy Spring Birthday Treat

Spring and Easter colors don't have to be washed-out pastels. Throw in some fun, bright colors too... Like orange! The orange ribbon is what really makes this pop. Love it!

We found this cute little tube of jelly beans at the store and wanted to jazz it up with some embellishments. So, we wrapped the top in scrapbook paper and attached a tag decorated with floral stickers. Then, we added that sweet ribbon.

Do you ever switch up packaging for gift-giving? It's one of our favorite things. We especially love pretty candies in an equally pretty package.

Happy birthday to our awesome spring birthday friends out there!

Velvet Bunny Easter Treat Bags

Spring is really here! Usually we think of velvet as a fall or winter thing. But, there are so many cute ways to use velvet for springtime.

One of our favorite spring velvet ideas is making soft, fuzzy bunnies with it. We cut these bunnies out of white velvet paper using our silhouette cutting machine. Then, we attached them to treat bags and wrapped them up with ribbon.

Photos can't do these justice since you need to feel the texture to really appreciate it. We hope you are enjoying spring and have flowers popping up where you live!

Spring Card and Easter Papercraft Ideas

Many of you know we have a kit club. These surprise kits are a great bargain! The card kits include 2 limited edition card kits with supplies to make 8 cards each. So, for just $20 and free shipping, you can make 16 cards!

Would you like a peek at the last Club SEI card kit we sent out? This is one of the cards club members could make with last month's kit. We love how perfect it is for SPRING!

Speaking of spring, it's Easter weekend! We have really enjoyed looking back on some of our favorite Easter project and wanted to share a few with you today.

First up, this paper Easter basket by Davinie Fiero is so simple and adorable, we have made it over and over again. We have used it for tiny party favor baskets and bigger ones for kids to gather eggs in. If you are looking for a last minute basket and have some scrapbook paper and brads, go for it!

Second, we love this idea by Stephanie Kensy of decorating eggs without dye. She wrapped her eggs with paper bands and decorate the bands with bunnies, flowers, etc. It's such an easy idea. But, her's are just so pretty!

Last, this is from the How to Nest for Less blog. There are so many great Easter printable there. So, we are leaving you with this for your Easter weekend and our wishes for a happy holiday, however you celebrate SPRINGTIME!

Simple Spring Decor Gift DIY

Hi, there! With spring right around the corner, it's time to refresh your decor. So, we are popping in to share quick and simple decorating idea.

It doesn't take much, just a little flower pot and some leftover scrapbook supplies. We used the Dainty Blossoms chiplets, sundries, and die-cuts for this one. These are from our March card kit.

We just layered chiplets together and attached them to pipe-cleaners to create different heights and hold the flowers in the pot. The cute little heart saying was from the die-cuts.

Aren't simple ideas like this great to refresh decor or give as a gift? Are you starting to decorate for spring yet?

We used our new Dainty Blossoms collection for these. It's such a fun line to work with.

"Close Call" Spring Scrapbook Layout

Hi, Connie here with a scrapbook page using the Florets Collection by S.E.I. This is a gorgeous collection of Spring papers and it is always fun to add a little Tumble Dye to create a background for cardstock. What I love about using the Tumble Dye for paint splats is, it is quick to dry. So important for damage control.

The greens and gold colors in the Floret Collection were so perfect for these photos. The cobalt blue is a great addition to the colors used in this collection. Spring is in the air!

The selection of stickers are great to cluster on areas of the scrapbook page. Adding dimension, to the stickers, gives for a great look.

Back to the Tumble Dye / Brown, this is a fabulous product to use for paint splats on paper. It is quick to dry and doesn't bleed through the cardstock. My new "go to" for paint splats or paint dots. Try it, you will want every color of Tumble Dye to create with.

Thanks for stopping by~

It will be a perfect little decoration for my daughter's dolls I think. It would also make simple and cute spring decor for any room in the house. So fun!

Supplies:
Patterned papers are from: Catalina collection and Hooray! collection
Heart button: Furry Friends collection
Yellow Bakers Twine: Furry Friends collection
Googly Eye: Furry Friends collection
Misc. kraft cardstock

Spring Birthday Cards

Hello! It's Kelly here today to share a couple of simple floral birthday cards. I combined the Forever Sassy, Sweet Sora, and Hoo's Sweet collections for a cheerful spring theme.

For the first card, I started by covering a plain white card with patterned paper from a 6x6 pad. I then hot glued the beaded leaves to the top/center of the card. Using dimensional tape, the frame went on next...over the stems. I also popped up the Kraft Chip sentiment, and layered it over the bottom of the frame. To finish up, I trimmed down the stem leaves and added the dimensional flowers.

For the second card, I secured down the three Kraft Chip flowers to the top center of a plain white card using glue dots. Next,I centered the sentiment sticker under the flowers using dimensional tape. I trimmed down a piece of patterned paper to 1 3/4 inches, and stitched it to the bottom of the card. Finally, I added a border sticker, wrapped it with Baker's Twine, and topped with a button.

Supplies
Sweet Sora - 6x6 pad, Stickers
Forever Sassy - Assorted Frames, Sundries
Basics - Sundries
Hoo's Sweet - Cherry Drops, Kraft Chips, Stickers, Sundries

Simple Wreath Using Scrapbook Paper

I had so much fun creating this fun wreath for a workshop that I did at our local public library this month! The ladies that attended had all different levels of crafting abilities...some had never used a paper trimmer before, and I'm happy to share that they all left with a beautiful wreath and were so happy! We had fun too of course which is always an added bonus!

To create this wreath I used a foam floral wreath form that was 10 inches (I found them at our local hardware store in the craft department for $2.99), patterned papers cut into 1 1/2 inch strips (I used 22 strips for my wreath), doilies, buttons and adhesive! I used scissors to cut the little notches at the ends of the paper strips when I was done adhering the strips to the wreath form and I was done!

I loved this project...it's a fun one to do with friends and you could change it up for different seasons so easily simply by switching up the papers you use! I know that I will be making more of these in the future.

I've included some pictures from the workshop I had...everyone used papers from SEI's latest collections. Do you have a favorite?

Supplies Used:
Patterned Papers from the collection Spring Picnic
foam wreath form
doilies
adhesives
buttons

Easter Egg Decorating Craft

Hi there! Easter is on its way, and before you pick up the same-old Paas coloring kit, you might consider another kit to decorate your eggs this year: the Club SEI March card making kit.

One of the things I love about the Club SEI kits is that they come with a full collection of supplies that can be used countless types of paper crafts. You're not limited to the type of project that is the focus of the kit. The March Neon Vibes collection has bright colors, bunnies and blooming flowers ... perfect for spring and Easter crafts.

I made these Easter egg decorations using the oh-so-cute die-cuts, stickers and Build a Butterfly pack included in the kit. The decorations are attached to paper wraps, so you can make the decorations ahead of time and then set up your display on Easter.

Simply slide the hard-boiled egg into the paper wrap when you are ready to put them out on your table. I trimmed the yellow cardstock in the kit to 3/4 in. by 6 in. to make a wrap that fits a standard-sized large egg. Mini "baskets" of cupcake wrappers and Easter grass complete the display.

How will you be decorating your Easter eggs this year? What creative, non-card-making projects have you made using your Club SEI card making kits? We would love to see your projects! Share a link in the comments below.
