Machine Embroidered Shaker Card with Raspberry Velvet Paper

Okay, can we just take a moment to appreciate how amazing the latest Hoop Studio creation is? They’ve taken our SEI Velvet Paper and worked some magic with machine embroidery to create a stunning raspberry shaker card—and it’s absolutely gorgeous!

What’s so cool about this project is the way they’ve blended the soft, luxurious feel of our velvet paper with the intricate beauty of machine embroidery. The result? A card that looks both elegant and playful, with little heart details that make it even more adorable. Plus, the shaker element adds an interactive touch that really brings the whole thing to life. Who doesn’t love a card that’s not just pretty, but fun to shake around too?
The best part is that the SEI Velvet Paper is super easy to work with on embroidery machines, so you get all the crisp, beautiful details without sacrificing that velvety softness. It’s the perfect material for giving a card or project that extra special pop.
We’re beyond excited to see Kimberbell use SEI Velvet Paper in such a creative way, and we can’t wait to see what other gorgeous ideas they come up with next!

Handmade Kraft Cards

This classic kraft paper pad has so many pretty papers! We love to use them for cards because the back side is blank and great for writing on. Also, it's on sale now!

We used the paper pad and a handful of random embellish to make a bunch of cards.

After we cut out the card bases, we used the leftover pieces of kraft paper for layering.

We used some red and green tags we had leftover from our Christmas tag kit. These are great for layering with the kraft papers.

It's so fun to mix up the scraps and embellishments you already have in your stash in new ways.

Don't forget to add ribbon, rhinestones or puffy stickers to add dimension.

We have these cute ice cream cone and popsicle die-cuts that look so great with these papers.

Which card is your favorite?

Do you have some supplies in your stash that would go well with our classic kraft paper pad?

Pretty Handmade Mother's Day Card with Velvet Paper

If you need a last-minute Mother's Day gift, don't underestimate how much most mother's love cards! A personal card, made by you, with a special message is so appreciated.

We made ours with the Penrose paper pad and lot's of lovely velvet paper. We cut out various flower shapes using our cutting machine. Then, we arranged them onto our paper to make a pretty bouquet.

These kind of flowers really last. In fact, you could make a 3D bouquet for her to decorate with them too... or a wreath would be nice. There are so many ideas!

Pair them with a pretty necklace in a velvet-lined box and you've got the perfect gift. Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful ladies who influence others for good!

Many of you know we have a kit club. These surprise kits are a great bargain! The card kits include 2 limited edition card kits with supplies to make 8 cards each. So, for just $20 and free shipping, you can make 16 cards!

Would you like a peek at the last Club SEI card kit we sent out? This is one of the cards club members could make with last month's kit. We love how perfect it is for SPRING!

Speaking of spring, it's Easter weekend! We have really enjoyed looking back on some of our favorite Easter project and wanted to share a few with you today.

First up, this paper Easter basket by Davinie Fiero is so simple and adorable, we have made it over and over again. We have used it for tiny party favor baskets and bigger ones for kids to gather eggs in. If you are looking for a last minute basket and have some scrapbook paper and brads, go for it!

Second, we love this idea by Stephanie Kensy of decorating eggs without dye. She wrapped her eggs with paper bands and decorate the bands with bunnies, flowers, etc. It's such an easy idea. But, her's are just so pretty!

Last, this is from the How to Nest for Less blog. There are so many great Easter printable there. So, we are leaving you with this for your Easter weekend and our wishes for a happy holiday, however you celebrate SPRINGTIME!

Saint Patrick's Day Card

Saint Patrick's day cards are so fun to make. The one we are sharing today works great to let anyone you love know how lucky you feel to have them in your life.

We used our green ultra-glitter paper and cutting machine to cut out the words, "Lucky Me" and a shamrock shape. The rest of the card is really quite simple. Layer a few shades of green paper and a little green ribbon.

Origami Wreath Embellishment or Ornament

The holidays can be expensive. But, it's amazing what you can do with a little bit of inexpensive scrapbook paper. For these projects, we used the Cheery Holiday pack, which is on sale for just $10 this week.

We ran across this little origami wreath tutorial on-line and fell in love. Just imagine the possibilities! Add it to a card or scrapbook layout for a dynamic embellishment.

Of course we had to make an ornament too. They are so fun to make. Give it a try!

We haven't heard from you for a while. So, we'd like to know if you've started your holiday crafting yet? What ideas would you like to see this season?

Christmas Cards

We know, we know! Christmas products are hitting the shelves before some of us are ready. You may want to enjoy the season of Thanksgiving before moving on to thinking about gifting. However, if you are a card-maker you know holiday cards take time and the earlier you get started, the better! So, we're here to help those early crafters today.

Here are three simple card ideas. This card kit will be available on our website soon. But, if you can't wait, we have several other holiday card kits on sale this week!

Little 3-D touches make all the difference! These little gems our some of our most favorite embellishments to use, especially for the holidays.

We also used gems on the wreath to add dimension and sparkle. But, we think it's the ribbon that makes this card even so pretty.

For this last card, we cropped the poinsettia paper to create an interesting background. So, we only needed a few more accents to make it complete.

Are you ready to start your holiday crafting now or are you going to wait until Thanksgiving is over to think about it?

DIY Halloween Cards

If you subscribe to our newsletter, you know that we've had some great sales lately! In fact, just this week, we added three new Halloween limited edition card kits for only $7 each.

Sometimes the shots on our website, don't do these kits justice. So, we would like to share 3 of the cards from the Spooky Street limited edition kit.

These kits are so fun and simple to put together! This bat card is one of our favorites. The black velvet paper adds a richness to these that is hard to capture with a camera.

This monster card would be so fun for your kids, nephew, niece, or grandchildren.

How would you like to open an envelope to find a card with giant spiders on it?

We hope this little sample gives you a better idea about what comes in our limited edition card kits. Check out this kit an more in this week's sale here.
